A message to members, from our President:

In the two weeks since the first urgent request for masks went out, the SMQA drop offs collected an astounding 500 masks. The most recent collection of over 300 masks have already been delivered or are on their way to a number of organizations, including Oakhurst Healthcare and Wellness, Sierra Ambulance, Valley Children's Hospital, Kaiser Fresno, and Hinds Hospice. Masks have also been given to staff at our local grocery stores. This is in addition to what our members and friends are doing individually. There have been at least another 200 masks distributed directly by our members to places such as Fresno Community Health, Madera Community Hospital, and the Red Cross. And even that number does not begin to take into account the donations to family, friends, neighbors, church families, and relatives in other areas of the country. It is so rewarding to see our association take action to help our community with this incredible response. I know that many of us are "masked out", but the need continues. So keep sewing.

Thank you all, Penni Simily

Update: After the recently held mask drop off on May 1st, our members have made well over 800 masks!

What's not cancelled? Doing good for others.

Thank you SMQA members!

These two links will take you to the files used for these masks as specifically requested by the Kaiser Permanente hospital staff in Roseville.  Some members who had problems printing the pattern found that printing from a phone works, when printing from another device failed.

These two links will take you to the Tutorial and written instructions for the Rope Mask.
